Espresso Ecuador Origin coffee from the ACRIM cooperative. The ACRIM cooperative consists of around 160 members from the towns of Zumba, Cordón Fronterizo, Rancho Carmen, Progreso, Padilla and Chito, which is placed in the southern part of Ecuador, where the climate is suitable for coffee cultivation. The coffee is 100% Arabica type “Typica”, that is adapted to the climatic conditions of the region, demands only minimal fertilization and is producing an excellent coffee
The farmers have developed an efficient compost production enabling natural nutrients to be returned to the ecosystem. The focus for these coffee farmers is to produce washed high-class Arabica inhomogenous quality without destroying the surrounding ecosystem and to build a solid economic basis for their families in future.
In the roastery, the beans get medium/dark-roasts which gives a good quality coffee with light acidity, full body, intense flavor with marzipan and chocolate notes.
The climate in Ecuador obviously has a big impact on the success of the country’s coffee. You are in a suitably humid climate with constant temperatures that fluctuate between 15 and 28 degrees. This particular climate is very suitable for coffee cultivation. In addition, the coffee is grown at an altitude of approximately 1300 to 1500 meters above sea level.
The coffee is washed and dried on site. The drying is not artificial, as Mother Sun takes care of the process. A completely natural coffee that is prepared in a completely natural way.
