Tinsoldaten espresso blend is composed of coffee from Brazil and Indonesia.
Coffees from Brazil are characterized by being round and full-bodied in taste with notes of nuts, dried fruit and an aftertaste of dried cocoa. It comes from the Cerrado Mineiro region and is grown at 1000-1200 m above sea level. Cerrado Mineiro is a large region in the state of Minais Gerais, located in the southeastern part of Brazil. The processing method is natural, which gives the coffee body and a sweet character.
Indonesian coffee is characterized by being an intense coffee with low acidity and notes of walnuts and spices. It comes from the western part of Sumatra and is cultivated at 1200-1500 m above sea level. Among other things, Sumatra is known for their production systems, which ensure a diverse biodiversity. The processing is wet holed, which gives a strong body and spicy flavor notes. “Wet-hulled” is easily confused with “wet-processed,” But the two processes produce dramatically different results: wet-hulling emphasizes body and mutes acidity, while wet-processing highlights delicate acidity and sweetness.
